EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE™ PRIMARY (CPR) & SECONDARY (FIRST AID) CARE COURSE:
Our Emergency First Response™ Primary & Secondary Care (Senior First Aid, CPR & AED) Certificate is accredited by the Health and Safety Executive (Great Britain) for the purposes of first aid in the workplace; SkillsActive in the UK by many organisations worldwide.
Our courses are delivered as a practical skills workshop over a full day by a qualified EFR & SEMICYUC instructor.
All participating students will be given a CPR & First Aid training manual when they arrive in Spain. A DVD accompanies this reading, and students must complete the knowledge reviews in the manual prior to the practical training day.
On successful completion of this course your Emergency First Response™ Course Completion Authorisation (CCA) card will be sent to you. Your certification is valid for 2 years before a refresher course is required. You will also receive a handy EFR Barriers keyring.
What will you learn on this course?
Primary Care (CPR) Course Course Content
Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. The course focuses on primary care through a combination of knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice to make sure participants have the confidence in their ability to provide care when emergency situations arise.
Primary Care (CPR) skills taught in this course:
Scene Assessment, Barrier Use, Primary Assessment, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR – Chest compressions and rescue breathing), Automated External Defibrillator Use,
Serious Bleeding Management, Shock Management, Spinal Injury Management, Conscious and Unconscious Choking Management, Emergency Oxygen Use.
Secondary Care (First Aid) Course Content
Emergency First Response Secondary Care (first aid) covers injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life threatening. Participants focus on secondary assessment and first aid through knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice.
Secondary Skills taught in this course:
Injury Assessment, Illness Assessment. Bandaging, Splinting for Dislocations and Fractures.
